2d Collision Simulation
An AP Physics Project
If you have ever taken an AP physics class at your high school, you probably had to do some kind of a research project, or study of some sort. This can be a little overwhelming at first... coming up with an idea that works, running your experiment, writing it up. Well, after having gone through this process I can only offer that which I have done. I present you with my idea for my AP Physics project:
SIMULATION OF ELASTIC COLLISIONS IN 2D USING THE CONCEPTS OF CONSERVATION OF MOMENTUM AND KINETIC ENERGY
Basically, I made a computer program that simulated perfectly elastic 2d collisions of rigid spheres. The point was to see if I could create realistic looking simulation using the basic equations for the conservation of kinetic energy and momentum, and a little programming.
